- Broad-spectrum Antibiotic structurally similar to Tigecycline
- Gram-positive
- Gram-negative
- Aerobic and Anaerobic Bacteria
- Atypical Bacteria
V. Dosing
- IV Dosing for Community Acquired Pneumonia or Acute Skin Infections
- Day 1
- Give 200 mg IV infused over 60 minutes once on first day OR
- Give 100 mg IV infused over 30 minutes twice on first day
- Day 2 until completed course (7 to 14 days total)
- Give 100 mg IV infused over 30 minutes once on first day OR
- Give 300 mg orally daily on an empty Stomach with a large glass of water
- Day 1
- Oral Dosing for Acute Skin Infection

- Nausea and Vomiting are most common (>10% of patients)
VIII. Safety
- Pregnancy Category X
- Avoid in Lactation
- Avoid restarting Breast Feeding until 4 days after last dose
