IV. Dosing: Adult

Herpes Zoster (Shingles)
- Adult: 500 mg orally three times daily for 7 days

Genital Herpes
- Initial: 250 mg orally three times daily for 7-10 days
- Recurrent immunocompetent: 1000 mg orally twice daily for 2 days
- Prophylaxis: 250 mg orally twice daily for up to 12 months if more than 6 episodes per year

Orolabial Herpes
- Recurrent: 1500 mg orally for one dose at onset
- HIV (orolabial or genital)
- Recurrent: 500 mg orally twice daily for 7 days
- Renal
- Adjust dose for Creatinine Clearance <60 ml/min
