- Half Life: 8 to 15 hours
- Metabolism via Glucuronidation to inactive metabolites
V. Dosing: General

Anxiety Disorder
- Elderly: 10 mg orally 3 times daily (and may advance to 15 mg orally 3 to 4 times daily)
- Moderate: 10 to 15 mg orally 3 to 4 times daily
- Severe: 15 to 30 mg orally 3 to 4 times daily
- Maximum Daily Dose: 120 mg/day
- Acute Alcohol Withdrawal
- Give 15 to 30 mg orally three to four times daily
VI. Dosing: Equivalent dosing (for Benzodiazepine Withdrawal)
- Valium = Dose x1.0
- Phenobarbital = Dose x3.0
VII. Safety
- Pregnancy Category D
- Avoid in Lactation
