- Very strong Serotonin uptake blockade
- Primarily blocks Serotonin uptake

- Pregnancy Category C
- Safe in Lactation
V. Dosing
- Adult
- Start 25 mg orally at bedtime
- Titrate to 100 mg/day in divided doses with meals over 2 to 4 week period
- Max: 250 mg/day
- May consolidate divided doses into one nightly dose after titration
- Child (over age 10 years)
- Start 25 mg orally at bedtime
- Titrate to 3 mg/kg/day (up to 100 mg/day) in divided doses with meals over 2 to 4 week period
- Max: 3 mg/kg/day (up to 200 mg/day)
- May consolidate divided doses into one nightly dose after titration
