- Last line drug for Migraine Prophylaxis
- Use only with Neurology Consultation (due to toxicity)
- Rarely used in modern U.S. Migraine Management (largely replaced by other agents)
III. Mechanism
- Serotonin Antagonist (partial Agonist activity)
IV. Dosing
- Sansert 4-8 mg PO qd
- Drug holiday for 4 weeks every 6 months
V. Adverse Effects
- Retroperitoneal fibrosis
- Weight gain
- Edema
