- FODMAP avoidance in IBS may reduce pain, bloating, distention and overall bowel-related symptoms

V. Precautions
- Complete avoidance of FODMAPs is excessive
- Contrast with Celiac Disease which requires strict gluten avoidance
- Consider keeping a diary of symptoms and food intake
