II. Indications
- Evaluation for hip flexor tightness
III. Technique
- Patient sits at end of exam table with knees bent over the edge of the table
- Patient lies back supine with one knee held to chest and avoiding any Pelvis rotation
- Observe position of opposite thigh (one with knee not held against chest) against the table
IV. Interpretation
- Opposite thigh and leg should lie flush with the table
- Abnormal if the opposite thigh is flexed off the surface of the table
- Suggests hip flexor tightness
