  1. Evaluation of SLAP Lesion in Shoulder

III. Technique

  1. Patient places both hands on hips
  2. Examiner stabilizes affected ShoulderScapula and clavicle with one hand
  3. Examiner uses other hand to push anterior and superior at the elbow
    1. This forces the Shoulder upward and will reproduce symptoms if a labral tear exists

IV. Interpretation

  1. Positive Test suggests SLAP Lesion
    1. Reproduces pain or
    2. Click or pop localized to anterior Shoulder under examiner's hand at acromion
