III. Technique

  1. Patient sits on exam table with knee flexed over edge of table
  2. Examiner stabilizes leg proximal to ankle
  3. Examiner uses other hand to grasp plantar foot and dorsiflex
  4. Rotate foot externally relative to tibia

IV. Interpretation

  1. Pain on external rotation suggests Syndesmotic Sprain
