- Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip evaluation (identifies femur length discrepancy)
III. Mechanism
- Compare the 2 femur lengths
IV. Preparation: Sit-up starting position
- Infant or child supine
- Hips and knees flexed with feet flat on examining table
V. Technique
- Observe for inequality of knee height
- Affected side will be lower than the normal side
VI. Findings

- Bilateral hip disclocation (20% of cases)
- Inequality causes
- Congenital Hip Dislocation
- Femoral shortening
