II. Indications
- Psoriasis
- Alopecia Areata (off-label)
III. Mechanism
- Natural anthraquinone derivative with anti-inflammatory and anti-psoriatic activity
- Inhibits DNA synthesis and Mitosis in regions of hyperplasia, normalizing epidermal growth
IV. Dosing: Adults
- Apply daily for brief periods (e.g. 15 to 20 minutes), then wash off with soap and water or other solvents
- Use alone or in combination with UV light
- Should be used only by experienced practitioner
V. Adverse Effects
- Irritation
- Stains clothing, skin, hair
VI. Safety
- Pregnancy Category C
- Avoid in Lactation
