Tympanic Membrane Perforation (new labeling in 2014)
- Previously cortisporin solution was contraindicated in Tympanic Membrane Perforation
- Now cortisporin suspension (as of 2014) is also contraindicated in Tympanic Membrane Perforation
- Use Ofloxacin otic, Ciprofloxacin eye drops (ciloxan) or ciprodex instead

- Contains Hydrocortisone, Neomycin, Polymixin
V. Efficacy
- Otic Acetic Acid is as effective as Cortisporin
VI. Preparations: Cortisporin Otic Suspension
- Instill 4 drops in ear tid-qid
VII. Precautions: Avoid Otic Solution
- Lower pH and more irritating if TM Perforation
