Allergic Rhinitis
- Intranasal Corticosteroids are preferred for Allergic Rhinitis (including children)
III. Mechanism

IV. Medications
- See Cromolyn Sodium for other formulations
- Intranasal Cromolyn (5.2 mg/spray)
- Approved for age 2 years and older
V. Dosing
- Use 1 puff three to four times daily intranasally
- Max use: 6 puffs/day
VI. Efficacy
- Not as effective as Intranasal Steroids in Allergic Rhinitis
- Effects delayed 1 to 2 weeks after starting regular use
VII. Safety
- Pregnancy Category B
- Safe in Lactation
