II. Indications
- Severe, airway compromising Angioedema
- Hereditary Angioedema (treatment of choice)
- ACE InhibitorAngioedema (may be effective, off label use)
III. Mechanism
- Selective Bradykinin B2 Receptor Antagonist
IV. Dosing
- Initial Dose: 30 mg SQ
- Second Dose: 30 mg SQ at 6 hours after first if inadequate response to the initial dose
- Maximum: 90 mg total daily dose
- Cost: $10,000 per 30 mg dose
