II. Criteria: Assign one point for each of the 3 criteria
- Facial droop
- Patient shows teeth
- Abnormal if asymmetric
- Arm Drift
- Patient holds arms out in front of them, with eyes closed for 10 seconds
- Abnormal if one arm unable to be raised or drifts from starting position

Dysarthria
- Patient repeats "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"
- Abnormal if slurred speach or uses inappropriate words or does not respond verbally
III. Interpretation
- Score 1: Correlates with CVA in 72% of cases
- Score 3: Correlates with CVA in 85% of cases
