III. Technique: NAME
- Notice
- Identify strong emotions in relation to a trigger
- Name each of the emotions (e.g. anger, fear)
- Acknowledge
- Recognize each emotion and try to process these calmly
- Make Room
- Accept the emotion without need for explanation
- Expand awareness
- Maintain an awareness and monitor for strong, negative emotions
- Prevent these emotions from taking over in stressful situations
