II. Criteria

  1. Answer the following 8 questions, with the chance of drowsiness for each circumstance
    1. Score 0: No chance of dozing
    2. Score 1: Slight chance of dozing
    3. Score 2: Moderate chance of dozing
    4. Score 3: High chance of dozing
  2. Questions (Assign a score 0 to 3 for each circumstance)
    1. Sitting and Reading
    2. Watching Television
    3. Sitting in a public inactive place (e.g. theater or meeting place)
    4. Riding in a car for 1 hour without a break (as a passenger)
    5. Lying down in the afternoon when circumstances permit
    6. Sitting and talking to someone
    7. Sitting quietly after lunch without Alcohol
    8. Stopped in traffic for a few minutes

III. Interpretation

  1. Based on above 8 questions, each assigned a score 0-3 (total possible 24 points)
