II. Epidemiology
- Age 30 to 40 year old peak onset
- Rare, benign soft tissue tumor of the plantar foot
III. Symptoms
- Burning pain or numbness in the affected foot region
- Possible nodular swelling in the region of the schwannoma
IV. Differential Diagnosis
V. Management
- Follow asymptomatic growths
- Refer for surgical excision if symptomatic (biopsy and histology recommended)
