  1. Bronchiolitis

III. Criteria

  1. Wheezing
    1. Score 0: None
    2. Score 1: End Expiratory Wheezes only
    3. Score 2: Inspiratory and Expiratory Wheezing
  2. Air Exchange
    1. Score 0: Normal air exchange
    2. Score 1: Decreased air exchange in one area
    3. Score 2: Decreased air exchange in more than one area
  3. Respiratory Rate
    1. Score 0: Normal
    2. Score 1: Tachypnea
  4. Muscle Use (Accessory)
    1. Score 0: None
    2. Score 1: Subcostal or intercostal retractions
    3. Score 2: Nasal flaring or tracheal tugging

IV. Interpretation

  1. Inhaled Bronchodilator treatment may be tried in Warm Score of 4 or higher
