II. Exam
- Do not palpate (provokes a strong Gag Reflex)
- Observe asymmetry of Soft Palate when says "Eee"
- Soft Palate is a cancer prone site!
- Observe for white persistent lesions (Leukoplakia)
- Observe for red lesions that cannot be wiped away
III. Management
- Indications to biopsy Soft Palate lesions:
- Suspicious lesion not resolved in 2 weeks
- Tobacco Abuse history
