- Untreated Major Depression
- Severe postural instability
- Atypical Parkinsonism
IV. Description
- Electrode implanted at thalamic region causing Tremor (Subthalamic Nucleus or Globus Pallidus interna)
- Wire exits skull and into modified Pacemaker
- Pacemaker delivers high frequency stimulus
- Results in good efficacy of Tremor suppression
V. Complications: Similar catastrophic risk as Thalamotomy
- Death
- Intracranial Hemorrhage
- CNS Infection
- Lead Fracture, migration or misplacement
