II. Pathophysiology
- Mass of hair, fibers, and other indigestible materials
- Found in Stomach or Intestine
- Higher risk with Gastroparesis or Delayed Gastric Emptying
III. Symptoms
- Nausea or Vomiting
- Constipation alternating with Diarrhea
- Epigastric Pain and bloating
IV. Signs
- Palpable upper abdominal mass
V. Diagnosis
- Upper GI
- Displacement of barium by mass
- May show radiopaque materials in Bezoar
- Endoscopy (EGD)
- Mass of hair, vegetable fibers, seeds and materials
