    2. Chlamydial Pneumonia (Staccato Cough)

  3. Miscellaneous
    1. Vocal Cord Dysfunction
    2. Gastroesophageal Reflux disease
    3. Postnasal drainage (Sinusitis, Allergic Rhinitis)

III. Management

  1. Treat the underlying condition
    1. Avoid suppressing cough in Asthma or COPD
  2. Nebulized Lidocaine
    1. Has been used anecdotally for refractory, Spasmodic Cough
    2. Use with caution (not evidence based)
