- Confirmation of Ovulation
III. Technique
- Regular cycles
- Obtain Serum Progesterone on Day 21 of cycle
- Irregular cycles
- Obtain Serum Progesterone 7 days before anticipated Menses onset
- Repeat serum pregesterone level weekly until Menses occur
IV. Interpretation
- Serum Progesterone >5 ng/ml (15.8 nmol/L) suggests Ovulation
- Serum Progesterone <4 ng/ml suggests Ovulation did not occur
