- Instill 1% Rose Bengal dye at both eyes

Conjunctival staining is quantitatively scored
- Devitalized Cornea and Conjunctiva takes up Rose Bengal stain
IV. Interpretation
- Stained areas of Conjunctiva suggests Sjogren's Syndrome
- Stain may identify Sjogren's Syndrome prior to symptom development
