- Common, benign, hyperplastic reaction
- Hyperkeratosis results from chronic friction and irritation
- Sucking in, or chewing cheek, results in friction against teeth

- Typically asymptomatic

- White horizontal line midway along Buccal mucosa
V. Differential Diagnosis
- Leukoplakia (atypical, non-linear lesions)
VI. Evaluation
- Typical linea alba requires no biopsy or further evaluation

- No specific management needed
