- Evaluation of uterine abnormality
- Second-line study in Endometrial Cancer Screening (or Endometrial Hyperplasia)
- Focal endometrial lesions on Ultrasound
- Non-diagnostic Ultrasound or Endometrial Biopsy
- Persistent Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
III. Contraindications
- Endometrial Biopsy or other findings suggests Endometrial Cancer (risk of peritoneal seeding)
IV. Technique
- Ultrasound performed after sterile saline infused into Uterus
- Allows for better visualization of uterine cavity
- Ultrasound-guided biopsy of focal lesions can also be done
