II. Risk Factors

  1. Predisposition to poor Corneal healing
    1. Map-dot-fingerprint dystrophy (basement membrane disorder)
  2. Sharp Corneal Abrasion

III. Management

  1. Keep eye moist to optimize healing
    1. Day: Preservative free artificial tears at least 4 times daily for 2 weeks
    2. Night: Refresh PM ointment or Lacri-lube

IV. Course

  1. Requires 2 weeks to fully heal
