- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG)
- Chemistry panel

Urinalysis
- Urine pH <5.5 with severe Metabolic Acidosis
- Creatinine Clearance decreased (<45 ml/min)
IV. Management
- Cause: Aldosterone or Mineralocorticoid deficiency
- Cause: Chronic Renal Insufficiency
- Dietary Potassium restriction
- Loop Diuretics
- Low dose Oral Sodium Bicarbonate (1-2 meq/kg/day)
