- Pill taken with minimal fluid lodges in mid-Esophagus, causing a local irritation or ulceration

- Substances that increase Esophageal Reflux

- Ascorbic Acid
- Aspirin
- Bisphosphonates (e.g. Fosamax)
- Corticosteroids
- Doxycycline or Tetracycline
- Clindamycin
- Iron supplements (e.g. Ferrous Sulfate)
- NSAIDs
- Potassium supplements (e.g. Potassium chloride or KCL)
- Quinidine
V. Management
- Sucralfate
- Viscous Lidocaine
VI. Course
- Pain resolves spontaneously in 2-7 days
