II. Indications
- Predicts mortality in Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (or Erythema Multiforme Major) or Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis
- Directs management of SJS and TEN
III. Criteria: Assign one point for each of the following 7 risk factors
- Age 40 years old or older
- Heart Rate 120/minute or higher
- Malignancy history
- Surface area detachment 10% or more
- Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) >28 mg/dl (>10 mmol/L)
- Serum bicarbonate <20 mmol/L
- Serum Glucose >252 mg/dl (or >14 mmol/L)

- Score 0-1
- Mortality: 3.2%
- No specific management typically needed
- Score 2
- Mortality: 12.1%
- Threshold above which Intensive Care (or burn center) admission is recommended
- Score 3
- Mortality: 35.3%
- Score 4
- Mortality: 58.3%
- Score 5-7
- Mortality: >90%
