  1. Sexual activity (intercourse) with a semi-erect penis

III. Pathophysiology

  1. Trauma results in rupture of tunica albuginea (membrane around the corpus cavernosum)

IV. Complications

  1. Urethral rupture
    1. Poor prognosis with secondary Urethral stricture

V. Management

  1. Urgent surgical repair
