    1. Acute muscular pain has resolved

  3. Mechanism
    1. Distracts the neural foramen and decompresses the affected nerve
  4. Technique: Home Cervical Traction
    1. Chin and occiput straps
      1. Pressure equally distributed
      2. Straps suspended from ceiling
      3. Straps exert upward pull
    2. Approach
      1. Neck flexion at 24 degrees
      2. Weight
        1. Starting: 4-6 pounds
        2. Typical: 8-12 pounds
      3. Duration: 15-20 minutes (up to 30 minutes)
      4. Perform 2-3 times per day
