- Assess risk in Neutropenic Fever
- Contraindications
- Children under age 16 years (have different rules for risk stratification)
- Criteria
- Neutropenic Fever symptom severity (choose one)
- No symptoms or Mild symptoms: 5 points
- Moderate symptoms: 3 points
- Hypotension not present: 5 points
- COPD not present: 4 points
- Solid tumor or non-fungal infection: 4 points
- Dehydration not present: 3 points
- Fever had onset as outpatient: 3 points
- Age under 60 years: 2 points
- Interpretation
- Total score >21: Low Risk (consider outpatient therapy)
- Total score <21: High Risk (inpatient therapy)
