- Two or more Fetal Heart Rate increases in 20 minutes
- Accelerations increase by 15 beats for 15 seconds
- Related to fetal movement
- Non-reactive
- Monitoring for two 20 minute periods
- Neither period yields adequate accelerations
- Adjuncts to assist fetal activity fail
- Acoustic stimulation
- Manual stimulation
- Glucose drink
IV. Management
- Reactive Nonstress Test
- Reassuring for fetal well being for 3-4 days
- Follow daily Fetal Kick Counts
- Non-Reactive Nonstress Test
- Perform Oxytocin Challenge Test (OCT)
- Perform Biophysical Profile
