  1. Trauma patient assessment for Aeromedical Transport (instead of ground transport)

III. Criteria: Trauma Patient

  1. Score 1: Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) <14
  2. Score 1: Respiratory Rate <10 or >29 breaths/min
  3. Score 1: Unstable chest wall Fracture
  4. Score 1: Suspected Hemothorax ot Pneumothorax
  5. Score 1: Paralysis
  6. Score 1: Multisystem Trauma
  7. Score 2: National Field Triage Guideline (any physiologic AND any anatomic criteria)

IV. Interpretation (based on total calculated score)

  1. Score 0-1: Ground transport appropriate
  2. Score >=2: Consider air transport
