III. Contraindications
- Not validated in age <35 years (consider elastography instead in this, younger population)
IV. Criteria
- Score = (Age x AST) / (PlateletCount x sqrRoot(ALT))
V. Interpretation: MASLD (Metabolic Liver Disease)
- Score <1.30 (<1.9-2 in age >65 years)
- Low risk for advanced Hepatic Fibrosis
- Negative Predictive Value: 95%
- Score 1.3 to 2.67 (or 2 to 2.67 in age >65 years)
- Intermediate risk for advanced Hepatic Fibrosis
- Requires secondary assessment methods (e.g. elastography, Ultrasound)
- Score >2.67
- High risk for advanced hepatitc fibrosis
VI. Interpretation: Hepatitis C
- Score <1.45
- Negative Predictive Value (NPV) in Hepatitis CVirus related fibrosis: 80%
- Score >3.25 (>2.67 in NAFLD)
VII. Efficacy
- Test Sensitivity: 85%
- Test Specificity: 65%
