II. Indications

  1. Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) diagnosis

III. Criteria

  1. Score 2: H - Heavy (Body Mass Index >30 kg/m2)
  2. Score 1: H - Hypertensive (two or more Antihypertensive medications)
  3. Score 3: F - Atrial Fibrillation (paroxysmal or persistent)
  4. Score 1: P - Pulmonary Hypertension (pulmonary artery systolic pressure by echo >35 mmHg)
  5. Score 1: E - Elder (age >60 years)
  6. Score 1: F - Filling Pressure, mitral inflow (Doppler echo E/e'>9)

IV. Interpretation

  1. Very rough estimations (see calculators below for more accurate estimates)
  2. Total Score 1: HFpEF Probability 20%
  3. Total Score 2: HFpEF Probability 35%
  4. Total Score 3: HFpEF Probability 50%
  5. Total Score 4: HFpEF Probability 70%
  6. Total Score 5: HFpEF Probability 80%
  7. Total Score 6: HFpEF Probability 90%
