Hypertension
- Start 20 mg orally daily
- Maximum 40 mg/day

- Start 10 mg orally daily
- Maximum 20 mg orally daily
- Weight >=35 kg (and age 6 to 16 years old)

- Amlodipine and Olmesartan (Azor)
- Hydrochlorothiazide and olemesartan (Benicar HCT)
VIII. Adverse Effects
- See Angiotensin Receptor Blocker
- Sprue-like Enteropathy
- Appears specific to Olmesartan (not ARB class effect)
- Presents with progressive, severe Chronic Diarrhea, weight loss and sprue-like intestinal changes
- May be a delayed Hypersensitivity Reaction (typically months to years after starting Olmesartan)
