  • Drug Interactions
  1. Cimetidine
    1. Increases Propanolol serum levels
  • Dosing
  • Oral
  1. Regular: 40 mg PO bid (MAX: 640 mg/day)
  2. Extended: 80 mg PO qd (MAX: 320 mg/day)
  • Dosing
  • Intravenous
  1. Load: 1-3 mg IV over 2-5 minutes
  2. Repeat every 2 minutes to a total dose of 0.1 mg/kg
  3. Sustained response for 6-8 hours
