    1. Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease associated with Congestive Heart Failure
    2. Aorta and pulmonary artery arise as a single vessel
    3. Accompanied by a large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)

  • Signs
  1. Cyanosis at birth
    1. Cyanosis may be delayed if pulmonary vascular resistance remains increased
  2. Congestive Heart Failure
    1. Onset by the second week of life (related to increased pulmonary blood flow)

  1. Large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)
    1. Uniformly present
  2. Truncal valve stenosis
  3. Truncal valve regurgitation
  4. Right aortic arch
