- Condition resolves spontaneously
- Rings of cartilage in airway becomes more rigid
- Signs
- Sound continues while infant feeds
- Minimal distress despite significant
- Soft-tissue retraction with inspiration
- No cough (no inflammatory reaction)
- Differential Diagnosis: Croup
- Gurgle Stridor sound more liquid sound than with croup
- Gurgles are associated with less respiratory effort
- Diagnosis
- Laryngoscopy
- Management
- No management needed
- Course
- Sounds of Tracheomalacia may continue until age 2 years
- Development remains normal
