- Management: Reduction (dorsal dislocation)
- Digital Nerve Block
- Flex the IP joint while applying traction
- Apply direct pressure to distal phalanx base
- Management: Post-reduction
- Joint assessment
- Assess joint range of motion
- Assess collateral ligaments with MCP flexed
- XRay finger after reduction
- Immobilization
- Splint for 3 weeks in 20-30 degrees of flexion
