Orthostatic Tremor

Aka: Orthostatic Tremor
  1. Pathophysiology
    1. Postural Tremor of the legs
    2. Frequency: 13-18 Hz
  2. Symptoms
    1. Unsteadiness
    2. Feelings of imbalance or weakness
    3. Trembling and shaking in lower limbs
  3. Signs and symptoms
    1. Tremor Initiated on standing
    2. Tremor relieved by walking or sitting
    3. Noticeable when palpating legs
    4. Not influenced by peripheral feedback
  4. Management
    1. Clonazepam (Klonopin) 0.5-2.0 mg/day
    2. Valproic Acid
