- Neck rotation or distraction
- Neck hyperflexion or hyperextension
- Facet dislocation
- Foramen transversarium Trauma
- Symptoms
- Asymptomatic initially in many cases (despite occult life threatening injury)
- Posterior Circulation symptoms
- Dysarthria
- Ataxia or impaired balance or coordination
- Visual Field defect
- Horner Syndrome
- Altered Level of Consciousness
