- Clindamycin with Benzoyl Peroxide gel (Benzaclin): 1%/5% or 1.2%/2.5%
- Clindamycin with Tretinoin gel (Veltin, Ziana) 1.2%/0.025%
- Directions
- Apply a thin film qd/bid
- Often Used with a Comedolytic (Retin-A)
- Advantages
- Only solution that reliably penetrates comedones
- Reaches bactericidal levels within comedones
- Disadvantages
- Resistance develops in 25% of patients within 6 months
- Use in combination with Benzoyl Peroxide (e.g. Benzaclin or seperate preparations)
