III. Symptoms and Signs

  1. Thickened and Rubbery bursa
  2. Non-painful
  3. Multiple small, hard Nodules on palpation
    1. Villous thickenings of bursa

IV. Management

  1. Aspiration usually not helpful
  2. Incision contraindicated (risk of infection)
  3. Surgery to excise bursa
    1. Indicated for chronic bursa pain

V. Prognosis

  1. Bursa usually dries up spontaneously
