    1. Duration of main symptoms: 1 pt/day (up to 10)
    2. Vomiting: 2 pt
    3. Physical exam
      1. Cyanosis: 6.5
      2. Altered Level of Consciousness: 8.0 pt
      3. Meningeal Irritation: 7.5 pt
      4. Petechiae: 4.0 pt
    4. C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
      1. CRP <5: 0 pt
      2. CRP <10: 0.5 pt
      3. CRP <15: 1.0 pt
      4. CRP <20: 1.5 pt
      5. CRP >20: 2.0 pt
  4. Interpretation
    1. Score >8.5 points indicates need for Lumbar Puncture
