Aka: Eye Acidity Test, Eye pH

Indications
1. Eye Chemical Burn (directs duration of Eye Irrigation)
Equipment
1. pH paper (Litmus paper)
Technique
1. Topical eye anesthesia (if not already done)
2. Touch pH paper to Conjunctival fornix (between lower Eyelid and globe)
Interpretation
1. Normal pH: 7.0 to 7.3 (neutral pH)
2. In Eye Chemical Burn, irrigation is continued until pH is in the normal range
